CPI Reveals G2E Lineup

Crane Payment Innovations will display Cashcode note acceptors and several MEI products, including the SC Advance note acceptor.

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) announced that it will be exhibiting at G2E this year. Booth 4747 will feature the CashCode one, CashCode one 3000 and Money Controls Ardac Elite note acceptors, along with several MEI products, including the SC Advance note acceptor, EASITRAX Web cash management system and the new SCR banknote recycler.

CPI, born from the 2013 Crane Co. acquisition of MEI, offers the most comprehensive portfolio of cash management solutions in the gaming industry, with coin and note products from the CashCode, MEI, Money Controls and NRI brands.

“These products reflect one of CPI’s greatest aspects,” said Eric Fisher, president of gaming. “And that’s the breadth of possibilities we offer to our customers. We provide solutions that work for diverse markets and unique needs.”

The CashCode one note acceptor offers superior acceptance upon first insertion thanks to its multi-sensor technology, alignment mechanism and four-way barcode recognition. The result is an enhanced player experience and, ultimately, more money in the cashbox.

The CashCode 3000 utilizes the same acceptor head as CashCode one but is equipped with a modified frame to accommodate its 3,000-note cashbox. This increased capacity leads to greater operational efficiencies by reducing the frequency of drops by up to 66 percent.

The Money Controls Ardac Elite is the industry’s first and only note acceptor with field-proven imaging technology that not only uses multiple wavelengths to scan the entire note but also takes a full-color image of it.

“The combination of MEI’s SC Advance and Easitrax Soft Count represents CPI’s most comprehensive cash management solution,” said a company statement. SC Advance belongs to the SC family of note acceptors that has achieved an installed field base of nearly 1 million units across the worldwide gaming industry. Nearly 150,000 of those units are coupled with Easitrax, an integrated hardware/software cash management system that drives operational efficiencies from the slot floor to the back room.

CPI will also showcase the new MEI SCR banknote recycler. The SCR is a two-denomination note recycler that combines the performance and reliability of SC Advance technology with the benefits of note recycling as part of a total cash management solution.

In a separate release, CPI announced that it has expanded its distribution agreement with Permaquim to enhance service in the Latin American gaming market. The goal of this strategic partnership is to increase service across Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay with the MEI SC Advance and Money Controls Ardac Elite note acceptors.

CPI has already achieved the largest installed base in Latin America. Under the revised agreement, Permaquim will continue distributing and providing service and support not only for SC Advance but now also Ardac Elite.
