Crown Installs Poker Progressives

Crown Melbourne has installed a progressive jackpot and bonus system produced by Gaming Entertainment Systems and Paltronics.

Sydney, Australia-based Gaming Entertainment Systems, through its exclusive Australian distributor Paltronics Australasia Pt. Ltd., has completed the installation of a progressive jackpot and bonus system on 40 poker tables at the Crown Melbourne casino.

The technology gives cash players at Texas Hold ‘em Poker tables fitted with the system the chance to win a jackpot prize. Each poker table can be connected to a central management console. GES says that is ideal for poker rooms where table numbers and table locations often change.

Paltronics, a specialist in the installation of jackpot control technology for the casino industry, is the exclusive Australian distributor for GES.

“The GES progressive system is very innovative, enabling quick installation, ease of use for operators and a fully featured central management console,” said Simon Witty, director of tables for Paltronics Australasia.

Tim Barnett, Crown Melbourne’s general manager, table games strategy and commercial, added, “Crown is always looking for innovative ways to improve products and provide experiences that customers value, and the GES progressive system allows Crown to introduce a flexible jackpot product to the poker room and provide a further reason to play poker at Crown Melbourne. We have been highly impressed with GES and Paltronics in their flawless delivery of this project.”
