Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise based in Hankinson, North Dakota, announced it will open a Las Vegas-style sportsbook, operating on the IGT PlaySports platform, at its Dakota Magic Casino this fall. The venue will be one of the first retail sportsbooks in North Dakota.
Besides the retail sportsbook, the casino, also will offer self-service betting kiosks.
Wanda Varns, general m at Dakota Magic Casino, said, “We are thrilled to be one of the first enterprises in the state to add sports betting to the list of things to love at our casinos.” She said wagerers can place bets on all popular sports, including football, golf, basketball, tennis, baseball and hockey.
In addition to Dakota Magic Casino and Hotel, one of the state’s largest tribal casinos, Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise, owned by the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe, operates Dakota Connection Casino in Sisseton, South Dakota and Dakota Sioux Casino and Hotel in Watertown, South Dakota.
