Dan Webster, a day one employee, has been tapped to be senior vice president of resort operations at Mohegan Sun. Webster is credited with having a vital role in implementing Mohegan Sun’s health and safety reopening plan in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
In his new role, Webster will oversee and implement strategies for engineering, transportation, food & beverage, hotel, environmental services and security. He will also remain a major presence in the design of new ventures embarked on by Mohegan Sun’s parent company, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.
“Dan has been such a vital leader and experienced professional in his 20+ years at Mohegan Sun,” said Jeff Hamilton, the property’s president and general manager.
Webster began at Mohegan Sun as an HVAC mechanic, working his way to vice president of facility operations. He graduated New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island and lives in Griswold, Connecticut with his wife and two sons and sits on the financial board of his town.
