Spillemyndigheden, Denmark’s Gambling Authority, has taken over the running of the anti-match fixing program for the Scandinavian country, Yogonet reported April 5.
The program, called Anti-Doping Denmark’s StopMatchfixing, encouraged anonymous reports of suspected sports match-fixing.
The Authority will coordinate the platform’s meeting platforms, analyze information regarding suspicious wagers and investigate possible violations—passing on the information to enforcement authorities.
Spillemyndigheden Director Anders Dorph commented, “It’s a very important task and a big responsibility that I’m glad we’ve been given. Since we will be getting data on betting on events across operators licensed in Denmark, it makes perfect sense that we are also the ones with the coordinating and unifying function.”
