Danish gaming operator Danske Spil will be entering into the fantasy sports market after acquiring 60 percent of fantasy sports platform provider Swush.com.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Swush.com provides seasonal fantasy sports games to a host of major media groups across Europe. That includes Aftonbladet in Sweden, the EMEA arm of pay-television broadcaster ESPN, as well as pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport in a number of countries.
“The acquisition will ensure a closer cooperation between Danske Licens Spil, which operates in the regulated Danish gaming market, and Swush.com that offers a host of product development services,” Danske Licens Spil director Niels Folmann said in a press release.
