The Dave & Buster’s chain of sports-themed restaurants announced several new initiatives to help the company recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among them will be sportsbooks at restaurant locations where sports betting is legal, the company said.
The chain will add sports betting as part of a package of initiatives including off-premise sales and a virtual wings concept called Wings Out.
“We feel like sports betting could represent a meaningful opportunity for this brand,” Dave & Buster’s CEO Brian Jenkins told financial analysts at a meeting last week, according to Restaurant Business. “This is a wave that’s really just kind of beginning.”
