Celebrity chef David Chang is opening a new Korean fusion restaurant inside the Cosmopolitan. It is set to open in spring 2021 and will feature unique-to-Vegas items as well.
“Bāng Bar is one of the craziest concepts we’ve come up with and I’m excited to offer our Las Vegas guests an accessible, on-the-go option,” said Momofuku founder Chang.
Bāng Bar, an original concept of Chang’s, will open at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Block 16 Urban Food Hall. Bāng Bar’s menu will focus on spit-roasted meats wrapped in freshly griddled bāng bread.
Korean for “bread,” bāng is a freshly made flatbread that is griddled to order on a hot flat top and paired with roasted meats carved from vertical spits. New York’s Bang Bar menu includes the U Wrap, featuring bāng filled and rolled with a choice of spicy pork, chicken or spicy eggplant, and the Rice Bowl, made with rice, pickles, cabbage and a choice of spicy pork, chicken or spicy eggplant.
Bāng Bar’s culinary team will work to create unique-to-Vegas menu items as well.
“Block 16 is a first-to-market urban dining hall that features a lineup of culinary concepts from all over the country. We welcome David Chang’s iconic Bāng Bar to the Block 16 lineup,” said the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas General Manager and Chief Strategy Officer, Patrick Nichols.
