Deadwood Casino Employees Receive Training

To get ready to offer craps and roulette under a new law taking effect in July, Deadwood, South Dakota casino employees are attending an intensive, six-week training program offered by the Deadwood Gaming Association and the state Commission on Gaming. Two dealers from the Casino Dealers School of Colorado are leading the program.

The Deadwood Gaming Association and the state Commission on Gaming have teamed up to offer an intensive six-week training program for all employees of Deadwood casino, in anticipation of offering craps and roulette under a new law that will take effect in July.

Two dealers from the Casino Dealers School of Colorado are leading the training program. Participants must complete 120 hours of training in craps or 60 hours of training in roulette.

Deadwood Gaming Association Executive Director Mike Rodman said the training program will make sure employees learn proper game techniques, rules, procedures and regulations for craps and roulette.
