Snoqualmie Tribe last week announced that Brian Decorah has been named CEO of the Snoqualmie Casino in Washington. Decorah brings over 20 years of casino experience to leadership position.

The Snoqualmie Tribal Council last week named Brian Decorah as the new CEO for Snoqualmie Casino.

“We are excited and greatly look forward to working with Mr. Decorah,” says Jolene Williams, Snoqualmie Tribal Council vice chairwoman. “We believe his experience and passion for the work he has done elsewhere in Indian Country makes him an exceptional fit for Snoqualmie Casino.”

An enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, Decorah comes to Snoqualmie Casino with 20 years of experience working in Native American casino and resort operations. He has also worked with tribal governments and compliance operations. He has extensive experience creating and implementing strategic plans and developing and retaining team members, while ensuring award-winning guest services.

“It is with genuine excitement that I join the Snoqualmie team,” says Decorah. “I had been in discussion with some great properties across the country, but when I visited with Snoqualmie Tribe leaders and toured the Snoqualmie Casino and the surrounding area, my decision was made.”

Decorah is coming from FireKeepers Casino and Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan where he has served as the President/CEO. Under his leadership FireKeepers generated record revenues while compiling an impressive list of industry awards. Decorah will begin in his position as CEO at Snoqualmie Casino on January 1, 2018.

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe is a federally recognized tribe in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. Known as the People of the Moon, Snoqualmie were signatories to the Treaty of Point Elliott in 1855. Snoqualmie Tribal enterprises provide over 1,700 jobs and the Tribe has donated more than $5 million to nonprofit organizations in Washington State since 2010. The Snoqualmie Casino opened in November 2008, has over 1,700 slot machines and numerous restaurants and fine dining options.
