Delaware Online Gaming Sees August Revenue Jump

Online gaming in Delaware recorded its best month of the year in August with a 12 percent jump over July to $159,000.

The Delaware Lottery announced that the state saw its best month of 2015 for online gaming taking in 9,000 in revenue.

That represents a 12 percent jump from July. Revenue from the online poker sector amounted to $31,200 in August, up 10% on the $28,000 collected in July and reversing several months of decline.

Delaware is one of three states—along with New Jersey and Nevada—to offer online gaming, but do to its small population has struggled to attract revenue.

Delaware has entered into a poker player sharing agreement with Nevada which began in March, which allows the two states to share player pools. The state’s online sites also offer casino games online.
