DEQ Systems announced the appointment of Jon L. Whipple, chief executive officer of Gaming Technology Group, to the DEQ board of directors. Whipple also will serve as chairman of the board’s Audit Committee.
Whipple replaces Alexandre Lattès, who resided as board member and audit committee chair.
Whipple has held a variety of senior management roles with both non-gaming and gaming companies, including International Game Technology, GameTech International and Boomtown, Inc.

The DEQ board is now composed of Whipple, David D. Ross, and two non-independent member, Joseph E. Bertolone and Earle G. Hall.
