Joe DeRosa, a 37-year gaming industry veteran, recently emerged from retirement to become interim general manager at the St. Jo Frontier Casino in St. Joseph, Missouri. He replaces former General Manager Chris Kraibel who joined led St. Jo Frontier since 2013, after Craig Travers retired.
DeRosa, of Chicago, said he intends to remain at the casino 90-120 days until a permanent general manager is named. “There’s no need to rush. Affinity Gaming wants someone who molds with the community and the market.”
A former math teacher, DeRosa took a part-time job in Atlantic City in 1978, starting his career in the casino industry.
