Discovery Completes Canberra Buy

Discovery Resources, soon to be known as Aquis Entertainment, has completed its acquisition of Casino Canberra. The company under new Chairman Tony Fung will upgrade the casino with new luxury rooms, new restaurants, and additional gaming options.

Discovery Entertainment, which will be renamed Aquis Entertainment, has acquired Casino Canberra in Australia and will significantly upgrade the property, adding high-end hotel rooms; new entertainment and dining facilities; luxury retail outlets; and new casino games.

According to the Asia Gaming Brief, Hong Kong casino mogul will take the reins as chairman. In 2014, Canberra Casino generated revenue of AUD15.9 million (US$11.5 million).
