Reichel left by mutual agreement with the company, but will stay on as a consultant.

He will be replaced by Marika White, executive director of Emerson Corporate Services, a which provides compliance and corporate secretarial services to companies, funds and family offices.

“We have appreciated Ben Reichel’s professionalism in assisting with the transition to the new Board,” said Donaco Chairman Mel Ashton. “We are sad to see him go, but we respect his decision, and we are pleased that his expertise and knowledge of the company’s businesses will continue to be available in his role as a consultant to the company.”

According to Inside Asian Gaming, Reichel first indicated that he would leave the company on the eve of last November’s tumultuous annual general meeting, at which shareholders voted to oust most of the existing board of directors.

Donaco has also appointed two new executive directors to work on “legal, operational and financial matters for the company, including corporate activity and strategic projects, as well as investor relations matters.”
