Downtown Grand Improvements Aplenty

The Downtown Grand Casino in Las Vegas has reworked its gaming floor, opened a new sports book, and launched several special incentives and promotions, including a $250,000 slot tournament for qualifying guests. CEO Jim Simms (l.) says the hotel is the most competitive in Downtown Las Vegas.

The Downtown Grand in Las Vegas announced several new casino enhancements, gaming promotions and events launching this fall.

The casino has repositioned the casino floor and in August introduced the Counts Kustoms Blackjack promotion, where players have the chance to win a custom motorcycle designed by the famed chopper fabrication team.

The casino also launched its Downtown Grand Rewards Players Card Program with new tiered card benefits that give players one point for every dollar of coin-in played on slots, and a point for every $2 of coin-in played on video poker. For every 250 points redeemed, players will receive $1 of free play.

The Downtown Grand Sports Book, managed by William Hill, added new television screens to the indoor area and hosts tailgate food and drink specials on the sports book patio on Saturdays and Sundays during football season.

During October, the casino offers players the chance to win its 250 Grand Slot Tournament that gives guests multiple chances to qualify for the mega tournament, with a grand prize of $250,000.

And Seth Schorr, chairman of Fifth Street Gaming, the operators of Downtown Grand, says the casino will be the first to offer skill games and wagering on eSports when games become available.

CEO Jim Simms says the property will offer the most lucrative player rewards, the cutting-edge technology and the best customer service to become the place to be in Downtown Las Vegas.
