DraftKings has scored another major sponsorship/partnership, this time with Los Angele’s Staples Center.
The agreement includes the creation of the DraftKings Fantasy Sports Bar and Lounge, a new facility that will allow visitors to the Staples Center access various fantasy sports services.
Due to open in September of this year, the new 4,400-square-foot facility will feature a network of television screens, 15 Microsoft Surface Tablets and 4 iMacs and additional technology. It is scheduled to open in September.
The deal will also enable DraftKings to place digital signage throughout the venue as well as receiving a number of hospitality benefits such as tickets and other premium arena amenities.
“This partnership will not only launch what we believe will be a signature and entertaining hospitality destination for our fans but will create numerous opportunities for us to introduce and showcase the exciting and original concepts being developed by DraftKings,” Staples Center president Lee Zeidman said.
DraftKings has also extended its sponsorship with the LA Kings, the NHL ice hockey team that plays at the Staples Center.
The Staples Center is also home to NBA basketball teams the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, as well as Women’s National Basketball Association franchise the Los Angeles Sparks.
