Dorothy’s famous line was “I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.” Now that sports betting is legal in the state, DraftKings now has the feeling that it’ll be in Kansas very soon.
The bookmaker awaits a license and regulatory approvals to operate a sportsbook in the state, according to Gambling Insider.
No launch date is available yet, but promotions are. Users who sign up in Kansas before the launch and download the DraftKings Sportsbook App will earn four $25 free bets. No deposits necessary.
One early bird will be chosen to receive a $100,000 free bet on launch day.
Back in May, DraftKings, along with Bally Bet, inked a deal with Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City which will feature a DraftKings sportsbook inside the casino.
When will bets be accepted? Kansas could be ready in January, or as early as November of this year. The state will have a maximum of 12 online sportsbooks, with a state tax of 10 percent.
