Drink, Drank, Drunk: There’s a Difference, Says Study

Academics at the Macau University of Science and Technology and the Monash University Malaysia say the market should change its responsible gaming slogan for greater clarity among drunks.

A group of academics have suggested that the slogan of Macau’s campaign for responsible gambling be changed. The current slogan is “Don’t gamble when drunk.” The academics recommend “Don’t gamble when drinking,” according to Macau Business.

The suggestion comes from a report by experts at the Macau University of Science and Technology and the Monash University Malaysia. They say it is harder for a gambler to stop gambling when he is already drunk.
