Drunken Stupor

Sports fan Mark Johnston, who lost a reported half-million dollars betting during a Super Bowl trip to Vegas, says he was too drunk to be held liable. Johnston played at the Downtown Grand.

Mark Johnston, a sports gambler who lost 0,000 during Super Bowl weekend, is suing Las Vegas’s Downtown Grand casino for allowing him to continue gambling after he had too much to drink, according to KSNV in Las Vegas.

“I feel like they picked my pockets,” Johnston said. “I feel like they took a drunk guy?like a drunk guy walking down the street?and you reach in his pockets and grab all his money.”

According to Nevada gaming regulations, a casino can be cited for allowing an inebriated person to gamble. Johnston said the Gaming Control Board is investigating the case.
