Revenue management solutions provider Duetto reports that its business with the casino industry has doubled over the past 12 months. The company says its casino business is steadily growing in several key regions across the U.S.
Duetto, hospitality’s only revenue strategy platform, continues to grow its casino division at an unprecedented pace, more than doubling the number of casino-hotel partners over the past 12 months.
Duetto has partnered with a wide array of both tribal gaming and commercial gaming operators, bringing these partners better visibility into total customer value and the ability to shape reinvestment and marketing decisions to attract the most profitable guests. Business has roughly doubled over each of the past two years. The team added 35 new properties in FY2019—including key partnerships with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino—and now supports 66 casino-hotels totaling nearly 30,000 rooms.
Casinos across the United States are leveraging Duetto’s three main products—GameChanger for pricing, ScoreBoard for forecasting and reporting, and BlockBuster for group and contracted business optimization—as well as the company’s newest product, the Duetto Rate Engine (DRE), to power online loyalty bookings.
DRE is the first off-the-shelf product that provides inventory and rates from a centralized loyalty database and connects to several leading booking engines, allowing players to redeem discounts and comps online at the time of booking without having to dial a call center.
“The system that I had before Duetto was awful and the technology jump was huge for me,” said Christin Medina, research and revenue manager at Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Barbara, California. “It’s the ability to throttle within the system and slow down certain segments—the lower-end segments—if they’re taking too many of the rooms in the inventory. We don’t have to tell anyone ‘no’ anymore.”
Duetto’s casino presence is strongest in Las Vegas, but has seen tremendous growth across the country as gambling is legalized in more states. Recent growth has come in areas such as Louisiana, Mississippi and throughout the Northeast.
New features are continually being tested and added to the system, including the ability to forecast cash versus comped revenue as well as gaming and food-and-beverage spend.
