Easthill Exits ECA

Philip Easthill has resigned his post as secretary general of the European Casino Association (ECA), in a move that took effect September 1. His departure will mark a new structure for its secretariat in which Veronika Tisold will act as executive director with support from Casinos Austria's Social Responsibility Officer Hermann Pamminger.

On September 1, Philip Easthill departed his role as secretary general of the European Casino Association (ECA) after a three-year term. The organization is taking his departure as an opportunity to change the structure of its secretariat. Veronika Tisold will act as executive director with support from Casinos Austria’s Social Responsibility Officer Hermann Pamminger, who has been named as senior advisor.

Easthill has is now secretary general of the European Boating Industry.

During his term, Easthill focused on curbing illegal gambling and money laundering and enhancing corporate social responsibility, as well as improving the perception of the licensed land-based casino sector.

“During his time at the ECA, Mr. Easthill showed high levels of professionalism bringing the interests of ECA’s members and partners forward with commitment and dedication, achieving our goals and positioning the association as a key stakeholder,” ECA Chairman Per Jadlung said.

“He leaves the ECA in a very strong position for future growth. While he will be missed, we believe that he will be a true asset for the European Boating Industry. We now look forward to advancing the good work and further defending and promoting the interests of our sector.”
