Slot supplier Eclipse Gaming announced that Chief Executive Officer Tim Minard has been knighted by the Principality of Cappadocia, one of the oldest sovereign royal houses of Europe. “This honor is a testament to Minard’s philanthropy, his dedication to excellence, and his history of innovation and entrepreneurship,” the company said in a press release.

The Principality of Cappadocia is a European nation that dates back to the Middle Ages. The principality is known for its rich history, culture, and traditions. To be knighted by the principality is a rare and prestigious honor that recognizes individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to society.

Minard was nominated for knighthood and then recommended by a majority vote of the Members of the Royal Nomination Committee. He was then personally selected by Prince Grandmaster H.R.H. Prince Rafael from Spain, who makes the final decision.

As part of this honor, Minard was recognized and awarded with a Knight of the Royal Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen at a Royal Recognition and Charity Gala in Chicago on June 11. During the time-honored traditional ceremony, he was presented an engraved sword, ceremonial plaque, jewels, and a Knight of Constantine embroidered cape.

Speaking about his knighthood, Minard said, “I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the Principality of Cappadocia. This is a tribute not only to my work, but to the hard work and dedication of the Eclipse Gaming team. It is a privilege to be part of such a great company, and to contribute to my Metro Atlanta community and the communities of our customers. I look forward to continuing to lead Eclipse’s growth and to focusing on our initiatives to ‘Go Beyond the Game’ for our communities.”
