EGT Opens Tanzania Facility

Slot-maker EGT has opened a new manufacturing facility in Tanzania, which will be the company’s largest facility outside of its home plant in Bulgaria.

Bulgarian slot manufacturer Euro Games Technology announced it has opened a new manufacturing facility in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a monthly production capacity of 200 gaming machines. The new factory is set to be the company’s largest outside its headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The new plant’s production capacity will enable EGT to meet the increased market demand for gaming equipment in the region, to optimize its distribution process and to offer more incentive prices of locally presented products, such as the cabinets from Vega Vision and Premier series, the progressive jackpot systems, and multi-player solutions.

The company manufacturing facility in Tanzania is the first of its kind in East Africa, and its opening had the support of both business and local authorities. The generation of new jobs in the area, backed up with different training programs, and the new partnerships with local subcontractors all favor the local economy factors.

“Our new factory in Tanzania creates new opportunities for achieving our main goal, to become a market leader in the gaming industry in East Africa in near future,” said Vassil Marokov, director of EGT.
