The Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) last week announced the appointment of Marcel Elfersy as its new chief commercial officer for platform and sportsbook. The group is looking to strengthen its position as a Tier 1 platform and sportsbook provider in regulated markets.
Most recently, Elfersy was vice president of business development for 888 and led its reentry into the U.S. regulated iGaming market. It helped 888 grow its B2B business and oversaw the Delaware Lottery partnership and the Betbright sportsbook acquisition, Elfersy was also CEO of Entain’s Africa JV, B2B and B2C Impala Digital.
