On June 9, iGaming and sports betting tech company Elys signed a deal to run a fourth and fifth sportsbook in restaurants and bars in Washington D.C. One will be located at BetDupont in the Dupont Circle Area and the other in the Entitlement Restaurant and Cigar Lounge. Ely’s wholly owned subsidiary, USBookmaking, will provide the sports wagering and bookmaking services, according to Yogonet Gaming News.
BetDupont is a chic lounge bar featuring table and cigar service and Mediterranean/American fusion food.
Entitlement is also a full service neighborhood restaurant lounge in the Petworth district, with a menu of traditional American food and beverages.
Both agreements run for three years with two extensions of two years each.
“This model puts Elys in the enviable position of being able to scale up rapidly with low incremental installation costs and brings a unique experience to small business entrepreneurs that can leverage their established customer relationships and drive economic opportunities in grass roots businesses,” Michele Ciavarella, Elys Executive Chairman, said.
“We believe that adding sports wagering within an exciting environment where patrons can enjoy their favorite food and beverages could bring an entirely new vibe to the establishment and could drive ancillary revenue and foster employment opportunities for small businesses.”
Elys Game Technology first made history when it placed a white label sportsbook in the Grand Central Restaurant and Sportsbook in the Adams Morgan area of Washington D.C. in October 2021.
