Disney owns ESPN. ESPN expands sports betting programs. It was inevitable that Disney would partner with a sportsbook sooner rather than later.

Not only has ESPN programming The Daily Wager and ESPN Bet, but the network promoted executive Mike Morrison to vice president of sports betting and fantasy for the company. They met with Caesars Entertainment and DraftKings to discuss a partnership.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek told a Goldman Sachs investor conference that the company will be ”more aggressive in sports betting” by exploring a partnership deal for the company.

Front Office Sports said ”Everything is on the table” for ESPN to generate revenue in the sports betting. ESPN is hoping for $3 billion payday in a multiyear deal to attach its name to an existing sportsbook.
