ESPN’s popular sports betting news and information program, Daily Wager, is moving back to the network’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut. For more than three years it had been at The LINQ Hotel + Experience studio in Las Vegas.
This move comes as ESPN prepares to launch ESPN BET, a branded sportsbook for fans in the United States, later this fall. The network announced its partnership with Penn Entertainment in August.
Daily Wager made its debut on March 11, 2019, at the Las Vegas studio. Over the years, the show has created memorable content, according to Scott Clark, ESPN vice president of fantasy & sports betting content.
“ESPN created some great content and incredible memories during our time at the Las Vegas studio,” Clark said in a statement. “With our new ESPN BET deal set to launch this fall, we felt it was best to return to our headquarters.”
With the relocation of Daily Wager to ESPN headquarters, fans can expect some changes to the show’s schedule. Starting from Thursday, September 7, the show will air on ESPN2. Additionally, a new weekly Saturday morning show at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN2 will be added to get fans ready for the full slate of football action across the country each week.
The decision to bring Daily Wager back to ESPN headquarters is a strategic move that aligns with the upcoming launch of ESPN BET. By consolidating their operations, ESPN aims to create a seamless experience for sports betting enthusiasts. The move also allows for closer collaboration between the Daily Wager team and other ESPN departments, enhancing the overall quality of the show.
With Daily Wager returning to Bristol, fans can expect the continuation of top-notch sports betting analysis and insights. The show’s panel of analysts will provide in-depth coverage of various sporting events, offering valuable betting tips and strategies. Daily Wager’s relocation to ESPN headquarters will also open up new opportunities for engaging content and partnerships with industry leaders.
ESPN’s foray into the sports betting landscape has been a progressive journey. Daily Wager’s relocation to Las Vegas in 2019 marked a significant step in embracing the growing popularity of sports betting. By providing dedicated programming and comprehensive coverage, ESPN has positioned itself as a trusted source for sports betting news and information.
