Bwin.party, which began offering eSports markets in June 2015, has seen a steep rise in eSports betting in early 2016 with Betting on League of Legends rising at a pace that could see more money bet on eSports than soccer’s Champions League.
According to a reports in SBC News, bwin sees 69 percent of its eSports betting on League of Legends and overall all the company has seen a 312 percent increase. After League of Legends, the popular shooter CS:GO accounts for 15 percent of bwin’s eSports betting, followed by Dota 2 at 10 percent and then Starcraft 2 at 6 percent, the report said.
Germany leads in the company’s eSports betting accounting for 41 percent of bets, the report said.
