Estoril Tender Upcoming in Portugal

Macau casino operator STDM’s license to run three Estoril Sol casinos in Portugal will expire at the end of the year. Public tenders, which are expected to draw major international operators, could begin as early as this summer, Macau Business has reported.

The government will hear Stanley Ho’s STDM before announcing the terms for the two tenders covering the three casinos. In the first quarter, Estoril Sol reported €9.258 million (US$10.44 million) in EBITDA, down 13.5 percent on €25.708 million (US$29.3 million) in net gaming revenue, down 2.2 percent.
