Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. announced last Tuesday that Philippe Etienne has joined the company’s board as a non-executive director, “subject to receipt of all relevant regulatory pre-approvals.”
In a filing to the Australian Securities Exchange, the slot machine manufacturer disclosed that shareholders will be asked to appoint Etienne as a non-executive director of Aristocrat at the firm’s annual general meeting in February 2020.
Etienne was described in the filing as “an experienced international executive” with “extensive experience as a company director” including with companies listed in the Australian Securities Exchange.
“Philippe’s nomination is a continuation of delivering on Aristocrat’s ongoing process of orderly board renewal and succession planning,” said Aristocrat Chairman Neil Chatfield in a statement. “His strong governance expertise, strategic background and chief executive-level experience in growth companies with international operations will ensure that these critical skills sets are both maintained and strengthened on the board going forward.”
