If you remember playing Video Poker on slot-like terminals on casino floors in the 1980s, you probably lack a penchant for newfangled online casino play.

Or do you?

Evolution Gaming is banking on customers who played in that era to ante up and play the same Video Poker games online. At least in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where you can stream the games.

Players have the option of participating with as many as 100 hands at a time and selecting among five pay tables. Those in New Jersey and West Virginia have an option to play a 3D-animated RNG version, dubbed First Person Video Poker, which contains a ‘GO LIVE’ button.

It’s not just designed to capture the older poker people, but to unveil a fresh approach to younger players—a blend of nostalgia and 21st century technology.

“Online Video Poker is already live in Europe and other regions and doing very well indeed. But this game has been designed with the U.S. market very much in mind. As such, we are expecting it to make a big impact with an online audience right across North America. Also, with the highest RTP (Return To Player) of all our poker games, we have found that the game is incredibly effective in attracting new players,” Jacob Claesson, Evolution CEO for North America, said.

“We’ve completely reinvigorated the game. We have our live version, which brings a live dealer and real-time gameplay to the table and adds an exciting new dimension to the fun,” Claesson said.
