Aristocrat Technologies Inc., the U.S.-based unit of Australian slot machine maker Aristocrat Leisure Ltd., has announced a software application for portable communications devices of its popular casino slot game platform Fa Fa Fa.
Aristocrat developed Fa Fa Fa for mobile in partnership with International Games System Co Ltd .(IGS), a Taiwan-based provider of arcade games to markets in the greater China region.
Fa Fa Fa—which translates from Chinese to English as “Rich, Rich, Rich”—has been developed for portable communications devices that use the Android operating system.
“Based on market studies, social casino games in general reached gross revenue of over US$2.8 billion last year, and will likely amount to US$4.4 billion in 2017,” said A.C. Chen, director of the arcade games department of IGS, in a joint statement accompanying the product announcement.
The new product features free-to-play versions of Aristocrat games that can be found in casinos throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Fa Fa Fa’s first social casino release features nine of Aristocrat’s titles popular in Asia-Pacific markets, including Wild Panda, Double Happiness and 50 Dragons. Aristocrat says more games will be added soon.
“Aristocrat and IGS have collaborated closely to build a high-quality, tailored, multi-language Asian gaming experience evocative of the excitement and action present on slot floors throughout the region,” said Craig Billings, chief digital officer of Aristocrat Leisure.
(Patrick Ramsey, a former chief executive of Multimedia Games Holding Co Inc., will succeed Billings as of January 1, 2016, Aristocrat Leisure announced recently.)
