CAMS, LLC, a company that provides online gambling and lottery operators with payment connectivity, geolocation, and “know your customer” (KYC) verification services last week announced that Frank Fahrenkopf, Jr. has been engaged by the company as an advisor.
Fahrenkopf previously served as the founding president and CEO of the American Gaming Association (AGA), the national organization dedicated to representing the commercial casino entertainment industry in Washington, DC. During his almost 20-year tenure, the AGA brought about unheralded industry expansion and advancement.
“Frank’s considerable political and gaming acumen will be invaluable as we forge ahead in New Jersey and into other states,” said Matthew Katz, CEO of CAMS. “He wrote the playbook on how industries like ours can mature and expand within the United States.”
Prior to the AGA, Fahrenkopf served as chairman of the Republican National Committee during the Reagan years. He is founder of the National Endowment for Democracy and the International Republican Institute. He also co-founded the Commission on Presidential Debates alongside Democratic Committee Chairman Paul G. Kirk.
“CAMS is the backbone of the nascent internet gambling industry because they value trust, innovation and regulation,” said Fahrenkopf. “Internet gambling is no longer an aberration; it is a robust industry that requires strong leadership and guidance. I look forward to fulfilling a key role for CAMS.”
Using proprietary and industry-leading applications, CAMS provides merchants in the gaming industry with the tools they need to reduce risk, comply with regulation and increase profitability. Merchants leverage CAMS’ expertise in payments connections, KYC services, geo-location, and fraud management—all through a single integration, thereby saving time, money, and valuable resources.
