Fanatics, the retail sports apparel giant, is making progress into the sports betting arena. In addition to preliminary approval for a license in Massachusetts, it opened a sportsbook at FedEx Field (l.) in Maryland.

Sports merchandise giant Fanatics, which is trying to foray into sports betting, recently made history when it launched the first sportsbook within an NFL stadium as expected on January 20.

Fanatics opened inside FedEx Field in Maryland, home to the Washington Redskins. The company has not yet filed to offer mobile sports betting in the state, according to Front Office Sports.

In Massachusetts, the firm received preliminary approval for a license, tethered for Plainridge Park Casino.

Matt King, Fanatics Betting and Gaming Division CEO—who previously ran FanDuel—expects to be in business in all legal states by September.

Fans in Washington, D.C. can now wager in the venues of the four major teams, from Capital One Arena’s home to the Washington Wizards and Capitals, to Nationals Park to FedEx Field.

The BetMGM Sportsbook at the Arizona Cardinals’ stadium marked the NFL’s first on-site sportsbook, but not inside either.
