Felix Rappaport Named Foxwoods CEO

Felix Rappaport, formerly an executive at MGM Resorts International, has been named chief executive officer at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe. Rappaport joined Foxwoods in February as chief operating officer.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, owners of the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, recently named Felix Rappaport as its new chief executive officer. Rappaport joined the casino in February as chief operating officer. Previously Rappaport worked for MGM Resorts International, managing the Mirage and Luxor properties.

Tribal Chairman Rodney Butler said Rappaport’s vision will help Foxwoods move forward with a plan to expand with new attractions, nightclubs and restaurants.

Rappaport replaces Scott Butera, who stepped down last month to become commissioner of the Arena Football League. Butera helped restructure Foxwoods’ $2 billion debt following a default in 2009.
