Ferguson Returning To Potawatomi Milwaukee

Rodney Ferguson, who served as chief financial officer at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino from 2013 to 2015 before moving out of state, is returning to the property as chief operating officer. He brings to his new position more than 30 years of experience in the casino and other industries.

Rodney Ferguson is returning to Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee as chief operating officer. He served as chief financial officer there from 2013 to 2015 before moving to Virginia. In his new position, Ferguson will oversee day-to-day operations at the property.

Harold “Gus” Frank, chairman of the Forest County Potawatomi Executive Council, said, “We’re so pleased to welcome Rodney back into leadership at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Rodney not only brings a wealth of experience in tribal gaming to the position, but has an intimate knowledge of the operations here in Milwaukee, which will serve the property very well.”

Before leaving Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Ferguson served as chief executive officer at Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Oregon. He also was general manager at the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In all, Ferguson offers more than 30 years of management experience in both the gaming and other industries. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Virginia State University.

Last month, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino General Manager Mike Goodrich resigned after 14 years. Hartford Shegonee was named general manager and chief executive officer.
