The Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia (EEAA) announced that it has appointed Ross Ferrar to its board of directors.
Ferrar is CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association, the main representative body of Australian gaming machine technology suppliers.
Ferrar was elected during the annual general meeting of the EEAA on June 7.
The EEAA, formed in 1992, is an association for those in the business of trade and consumer expos and events. It also works as a lobby group for the sector.
Commenting on the new addition to the board, Adrian Halpenny, chairman of the Gaming Technologies Association, said it was recognition of the importance of the Australasian Gaming Expo.
“Since 1990, the AGE has provided an annual cornerstone of the region’s hospitality and gaming industry,” Halpenny commented. “We have strived to continually elevate the event, and (Ferrar’s) appointment is a testament to our teams’ performances over the years.”
