FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan will open Dacey’s Taphouse, offering up to 50 brands of Michigan and national craft beer plus a new food menu created by the casino’s awarding -winning culinary team, by the end of the year. The new multi-million dollar, 140-seat restaurant and 50-seat bar, overlooking the gaming floor, will replace Dacey’s Sports Bar. The new brewpub will have 50 television screens tuned to worldwide sporting events and commentary.
Construction will begin in August on the new Dacey’s, featuring a two-story craft brew barrel and an open concept on the casino floor. FireKeepers President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Decorah said, “Dacey’s Taphouse will be a powerful new addition to our already exciting food and beverage offerings. The design is perfect for dining, enjoying drinks with friends and celebrating special events, as we continually seek to deliver the finest gaming and entertainment experience in the region.”
Earlier this year, ground was broken for FireKeepers Pit Stop car wash and fuel station. In addition, Cafe 24/7 held a grand opening. The tribe also announced plans to renovate a former Battle Creek fire station into the Hub, consisting of a retail restaurant and bakery, a food pantry in conjunction with the Food Bank of South Central Michigan and greenhouses to grow produce for area schools.
