Sochi Casino and Resort, the first casino in the popular Black Sea resort city of Sochi, Russia, will have a soft opening on New Year’s Eve, five days before its official grand opening on January 5, said Managing Director Stuart McLouklin. Casino operator LLC Domain received a gaming license in early November. Officials said the venue’s entertainment center will be located in the former media center of the 2014 Winter Olympics, which were held in the city.
McLouklin said, “Many people are now looking forward to the official opening of the casino. We decided to make a gift to our future visitors and provide them with unique opportunity to celebrate the New Year in Sochi Casino and Resort, becoming its first guests before January 5.”
Special music shows and fireworks are planned at the New Year’s Eve event, McLouklin said.
