Global iGaming and sports betting giant Flutter Entertainment has announced that it is incorporating its U.S. brand FanDuel into its new Collaboration Hub in Edinburgh, Scotland, where the company will interact and partner with Flutter’s other affiliates.
According to a news release, some 250 new engineering jobs will be created at the Hub in order to supplement the growth and innovation of FanDuel’s mobile sportsbook, racing and iGaming platforms.
Flutter described the new facility as a “bright and refreshing space designed to boost creativity and engagement from state-of-the-art equipment,” which was built with “ease and flexibility in mind to welcome its growing staff base and foster easy and inclusive working.”
“We believe a collaborative approach is the best way to drive results and truly innovate when it comes to product delivery,” said Matthew Taylor, FanDuel’s vice president of software engineering. “The official launch of our new UK Collaboration Hub today signals an exciting new chapter in the FanDuel story that will proactively bring together the best talent from across the country to innovate and excel in this dedicated creative space.”
Flutter said that the facility can accommodate over 500 staff members and will serve employees from both the U.K. and U.S.
FanDuel is quickly becoming one of the biggest betting brands in the U.S., having reported over $750 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2022. The company currently controls 51 percent of the online sportsbook market share for the region.
