Former Austrian Pol Joins Novomatic

A former Green party boss in Austria has retired from politics and become “responsibility manager” for the gaming company Novomatic. Eva Glawischnig-Piesczek says she will focus on environmental and legal issues.

The former Austrian Green party politician Eva Glawischnig-Piesczek has joined the Austrian gaming company Novomatic as head of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.

She commented that she sees herself as a “responsibility manager,” and will especially concentrate on environmental and legal issues. Although some find it strange that one of the leaders of the Greens is working for Novomatic since her party has opposed the company on many issues, Glawischnig-Piesczek countered: “My values remain the same… I cannot and will not give up my critical mind.”
