Former MGC Chairman Welcomed to NCPG board

Stephen Crosby, who led the Massachusetts Gaming Commission during its turbulent first years of existence, before he resigned last fall, has been welcomed to the board of the National Council on Problem Gambling. He will complete the term of Julie Hynes, who recently stepped down.

Former MGC Chairman Welcomed to NCPG board

Former Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby was welcomed last week to the board of directors of National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG.)

He will complete the term of Julie Hynes, who recently stepped down. Her term expires July 2019.

NCPG is an advocacy group for people and families impacted by problem gambling and addiction.

“We are very excited to welcome Steve to the Board. He has a lot of experience in responsible gambling and will be a great asset to our organization,” commented the organization’s executive director, Keith Whyte.

Crosby was founding chairman of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, where he served from 2012-2018. He also worked with the International Center for Gaming Regulation at the University of Nevada Las Vegas on modernization and standardization of gaming regulations.
