Four Alabama Bingo Halls Raided

Four electronic bingo halls in Jefferson County, Alabama were raided and shut down by the state Attorney General's office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Attorney General Steve Marshall said the raid was due to "the failure of local law enforcement to enforce the law." Agents seized more than 1,100 gambling machines and an unspecified amount of cash.
