Four Winds Announces Satellite Casino

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians announced it will open a satellite casino in August, located between Kalamazoo and the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan. The satellite facility will offer 500 slots and nine table games, a restaurant and bar.

Matt Wesaw, chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, recently announced the tribe will open the Four Winds North satellite casino halfway between Kalamazoo and the tribe’s Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan. The 52,000 square foot facility, about one-sixth the size of the New Buffalo casino, will open in August and offer 500 slot machines and nine table games, plus a bar and restaurant. It will provide 300 new jobs.

Said Wesaw, “We have a large population in this area and studies indicated this would be a good place for another property.”

Four Winds General Manager Matt Harkness said the Hartford casino will resemble the larger New Buffalo property.
