Foxwood Tribe Reelects Colebut-Ingram

Roy Colebut-Ingram has been reelected to the tribal council of the Mashantucket Pequot tribe of Indians, who own and operate the Foxwoods casino enterprise in Connecticut. Richard E. Sebastian also was elected to council.

Roy Colebut-Ingram and Richard E. Sebastian, a former vice chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council, won election to the tribal council in balloting among tribal members. Steven Colebut, an incumbent seeking a second term, failed to win re-election.

Colebut-Ingram was elected to a second term, according to a statement from the tribe. Sebastian will return to the council after abandoning a 2011 reelection bid after serving three consecutive terms.

“It’s a privilege and an honor to be in this position again,” Colebut-Ingram said in the statement. “I really appreciate all of the support. I’m looking forward to the next three years.”

Sebastian said he is “honored to have been chosen by the people to represent our nation.”

The seven-member council governs the tribe and oversees management of Foxwoods Resort Casino, the tribe’s gaming enterprise.
