Harrah’s Gulf Coast Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, June 21 with a free concert by country music artist Darius Rucker at the facility’s 450,000 square foot outdoor venue. The event also will debut the expansion and boardwalk addition of the property, formerly Grand Biloxi Casino Hotel & Spa. Local musicians will open for Rucker, and area vendors will offer an array of food and beverages. The event will end with a fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico.
Jonathan Jones, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah’s Gulf Coast, said, “Our resort has undergone a significant transformation and we wanted to introduce Harrah’s Gulf Coast with an event that would set the tone for what we will offer guests. We can’t think of a better way to do that than with a concert from an acclaimed artist like Darius Rucker. Darius’ music transcends genres. It’s authentic, genuine and it’s undergone an evolution, just like our casino.”
