In France, Thierry Hirigoyen’s TH Finance group has sold its Hendaye Casino to industry veterans Benjamin Frischer and Patrick Delahaye. The majestic casino is located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region near the border of Spain.
According to CDC Gaming Reports, Frischer operated a casino in Cauterets,0 Hautes-Pyrénées from 2007 until 2013. He also managed Capvern-les-Bains, also in Hautes-Pyrénées, from 2016 until it was sold at the end of 2019. Delahaye opened Club Berri in Paris in October 2019 before selling it last May to the Partouche Group.
Delahaye is chairman of the L’Aventure holding company, in which he holds 51 percent with Frischer holding the other 49 percent. L’Aventure owns 100 per cent of the operating company of the casino, Hendaye Loisirs, chaired by Frischer.
“We are redoing the casino from floor to ceiling, it really needed investment to bring it up to date,” said Frischer. “The idea is to create a very cozy and warm club atmosphere. We have completely redesigned the casino’s gaming areas … with an area dedicated to current and future electronic games. A traditional English roulette table will complete the existing blackjack, and we also wanted to imagine a ‘dynamic and digital animation’ area.”
The gaming floor will be expanded and one-third of the 50 existing slot machines will be replaced.
