Full Tilt Poker to Leave Italy

Full Tilt Poker may be pulling out of Italy by not entering the country’s regulated market. The sites former owners applied for an Italian licenses, but new owner Amaya Gaming have reportedly decided against operating that brand in Italy. The company will instead focus on its PokerStars brand in the country.

Full Tilt Poker will not seek an Italian online gaming licenses and is effectively pulling out of the Italian market.

The site’s new owners Amaya Gaming have reportedly decided not to seek an online license in Italy for several reasons including the declining online gambling market in the country.

Italian news agency Agimeg, reported that the company will not enter Italy’s regulated online poker market, even though the site’s former owners—The Rational Group—applied for a license. 

The company instead plans to focus on its PokerStars site in Italy, which is an industry leader in Italy. The company also plans to add casino games to the PokerStars site.
