Will third time be the charm for G2E Asia? Initially slated to be held at the Venetian Macao in mid-May, the show was postponed last month until July 28-30. But now that the coronavirus is displaying an annoying longevity, the organizers of the show have delayed it now until December 1-3 at the same venue.
In a statement to show participants, the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions said:
“Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued travel and commercial restrictions, it is not possible to hold G2E Asia in July as originally planned. G2E Asia, and its organizers the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, are grateful for your continued support and apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with all G2E Asia stakeholders, local government, and health authorities over the coming months.
“Thank you again for your understanding and continued support of G2E Asia. We look forward to continuing to support Macao’s resilient gaming industry and its recovery when we reconvene in December.”
The dates are less than a month after the Macau Gaming & Entertainment Show is scheduled, November 12-14, also at the Venetian, organized by Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA).
